Be Heart Healthy
Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death for both men or women in the United States. But keeping your heart healthy can be simple when looking at the big picture.Learn More
Stem Cell Therapy for Heart Repair
Stem cells are responsible for responding to, surveying, and healing injury to the body. When there is damage to your heart, the signal that would typically be sent for stem cells to respond and form new, healthy heart cells ceases, which makes it challenging for the heart to contract and move blood, and will eventually result in heart failure.
After a myocardial infarction, or heart attack, the heart suffers from permanent loss of heart muscle cells and formation of scar tissue, which severely diminishes cardiac function. Stem cell therapy offers a potential source of myocardial regeneration.
Congestive Heart Failure
Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a chronic progressive condition that affects the pumping power of your heart muscles. While often referred to simply as “heart failure,” CHF specifically refers to the stage in which fluid builds up around the heart and causes it to pump inefficiently. The regenerative capability of stem cells offer hope in regenerating damaged heart muscle and mitigating heart failure through deployment of mesenchymal stem cells intravenously, injection directly into the heart muscle, and/or placement into coronary arteries.
